I’m going to keep it short, sweet and simple for this new release album by Blacklisted for a number of reasons. First, it’s because I’ve only recently discovered this Philadelphia-based hardcore band. Second, I’ve only listened to the entire tracks in the last 3 days. Third, short and simple – but most definitely not sweet – are what “When People Grow, People Go” represents for the band and the genre.
It’s back to root basic of hardcore and straight to the point, and I’m not entirely surprised that it’s supported by one of my current watch list labels, Deathwish Inc, that has been wielding an impressive lineup of similar bands.
